Response System for the Prevention of Emergencies, Crimes and Threats (ReSPECT)

ReSPECT is our add-on system to the Police emergency numbers in developing and underdeveloped countries that enables crisis prevention and response for citizens by providing them a GPS enabled wristband (with smartphone as an alternative). On pressing a Panic button on the wristband, the citizen is able to get location specific help and information from a trained call center agent. In the event that the agent is unable to get the citizen out of the crisis situation and an emergency or a crime could occur (or has occurred), the agent can forward the case information to a nearest police vehicle (via a tablet computer installed in the vehicle). The police vehicle receives the victim’s information as well as the best route to get to the victim’s location. The agent tracks the police vehicle's progress and keeps in touch with the citizen until the police reaches the location.
